Two pictures taken from my yard at sunset, and about a half hour after the sun went down (transition from civil to nautical twilight). My new phone takes so much better pictures than my old one, yay!

My daughter and her boyfriend drove to the top of Clingman’s Dome (6,644 feet) last night and took this photo of the sunset. Â At the time this was taken, it was already dark at lower elevations. Â They were so high up the sun was still visible on the horizon.
This is what the sunset looked like last night over Asheville, NC after the storms rolled through. Â The photo does NOT do it justice.
Driving home today from a nice day with my daughter at the movies (and doing the mom thing–helping her clean her apartment), I was taken by how beautiful the sunset was, so I took these two photos.
