I’ve been thinking about (and feeling guilty about) the fact I follow so many blogs, but rarely comment on anyone’s blog posts anymore.
It makes me feel bad too, because I don’t want any of you to think I don’t care about what you write or am not reading your posts. I am (when I can).
When I first started blogging, I used to read a lot of other blogs and comment a lot on other people’s posts, but due to the sheer volume of comments I have been receiving lately (and still having to work for a living, run a household, take care of pets, maintain this blog, sort through spam, write new posts, etc.), I simply cannot find the time to comment as much as I’d like to, because I’m so busy replying to mine.
I try to read other blogs when I can, but to read everything I want to read and comment on posts too, I would not be able to get any sleep! When I do read, I may “like” your post, but will probably not comment, because there just isn’t any time anymore. I’ve received so much inspiration from so many of you, even when I don’t Like or comment on a post of yours.
This is the problem I dreamed of having when I started this blog in September. Please keep the comments coming! 🙂

Now that I’ve started back to work, responding is all that I have time and mind for! Don’t stress it too much ma’am, anyone who blogs knows the deal and understands.

I know, I just felt like I needed to say something about it. I don’t want anyone to think I don’t care about them anymore.

Don’t forget that there are only 24 hours in a day. You aren’t Wonder Woman and nobody expects you to be her! I love reading what you write and don’t ever feel like you have to comment back. WordPress is a stress free zone, that’s why were all here. 😉

I love WordPress (in spite of them always wanting to fix what ain’t broken–I really hate the “new and improved” posting and stats page) — I find the community here much more supportive and friendly than what you find on social media.
Thanks for the encouragement! ❤

I think like everyone else, I would love my blog follower numbers to explode. Thankfully it hasn’t and commenting/replying doesn’t take up my entire day.
Speaking personally, I would love for everyone that I am active with to also comment on my blog but I realize that we all have lives. Additionally we also blog for specific reasons and quite honestly I may not have been posting anything that had peaked their interest.
It’s all good!

I think you have a very good blog, Vic and I wish I could comment more. I do read your articles sometimes.
Your blog may explode one day. If you want that to happen, linking your posts to social media helps a whole lot–I was afraid to do it at first, now it’s second nature. (I don’t link everything, though)

I accept the fact that my blog will probably be smaller because I choose to have no social media presence (WordPress and LinkedIn and that is it).
My last two big bumps in followers occurred because of guest posting on OM’s blog.

Oh yes, OM will definitely help with your visibility! I just love it when he reblogs something of mine.
Now I’m just waiting for that incredible day when I get Freshly Pressed — IF that ever happens!

I think my blog is typically too specific (mainly mental health), nor do I usually part about hot/trending topics.
Meh. I am happy with those that follow & post!

My blog is mostly mental health too, and pretty specific at that (mainly NPD, BPD and Aspergers), but I do blog about a lot of other stuff too, so some of my readers are here for other reasons.

I think a lot of us are in a similar situation. We all just do what we can when we can.
