Well, I arrived here in Chapel Hill safe and sound! Was nice to get away from all the smoke and smog back in my area. The sky is blue here but you can still see the clouds obscuring the sun to the west.
I’m sleepy, so I’m going to lie down until my companion gets here around 11.
I’ll keep you all posted on how the next few days progress.
Chattanooga, TN and surrounding areas are having some forest fires that are making it hard to breathe and see.

Oh no… I am praying for your beautiful area, too.

You too? There’s been no rain, and it’s been so warm, and the dry fallen leaves are burning. We need some rain!

I am sort of in shock. Since when does NC have forest fires? I hope you’re doing okay!

I think so! I go back on Sunday. My daughter says everything is fine, but it still hasn’t rained.
It is shocking for NC!

Best of luck! Down here in Cary we were having smoke yesterday. O.o It’s cleared up now, but whether that means things are better or the wind shifted I have no idea.

They say yesterday’s wind made the fires worse but i didn’t smell smoke yesterday. New fires have broken out though and there’s no rain in teh forecast. Some days are worse than others, depending which way the wind is blowing, I guess.

I am. It’s not too bad here, although there still hasn’t been rain.
