Aha! So we game the (social) system via impression-management!
Is it true that a ***lot*** of people think this a workable tradeoff? As in ‘increased social rank, and better reputation’ is ***worth*** incurring substantial debt? Do they ‘grind their (mental) gears in a (diabolically) calculating fashion – much like an ***entrely-committed*** autist %needs% to do to have a decent chance of ‘passing for Normal’?
