I don’t have good ideas every day for new posts. During the first year I had this blog, when I couldn’t think of anything to write about, I could always consult my search terms page and post the funny ones. Sometimes I even got ideas for new blog posts from a search term. Some of you may remember these posts. They always got a lot of laughs, mostly from yours truly.
But for awhile now, my search terms have been about as interesting as watching paint dry. I don’t think I’ve just grown bored with my search terms; I think my search terms really are that boring. So I can’t use them for ideas or humorous posts making fun of them. I wonder why my search terms are so dull these days.
I get like that too. mental block. but for meditation mind must be completely empty and I think im having involuntary meditation sessions then lol
I have literally FELT my mind empty/go blank.. by force and I am aware that it was due to so much stress that it had to involuntarily do that for me at times
we get overloaded…
once my panic stopped over it and I got used to what was happening I realized it was a good thing..

Yes, our brains are so overloaded most of the time that when they’re not, it’s hard to get used to the “emptiness” and that can lead to panic attacks in people like us.

I just have to ask: what are your boring search terms?

just things this blog is about: “what is a narcissist,” “am I being abused,” “what is bpd,” “I have PTSD,” etc. I used to get really funny ones. 🙂

I used to get really funny ones, too — sometimes funny enough to make me laugh out loud. Nowadays they’re just routine and predictable. Certainly not blogging fodder.

Also, I wish my life were a little more boring right now. I keep getting phone calls and texts from two of my adult kids and a cousin in crisis. I am especially worried about my cousin, and he’s been a therapist for the past twenty years. Plus we had another hail storm and funnel cloud four days ago that did over $3000 damage to our car. And that same car kept randomly dying on us at speeds up to 75 mph while driving 1200+ miles round trip through the desert to a nephew’s wedding… freaking scary, especially when the car died while we were surrounded by 18 wheelers!! It took all of our money to get the car fixed. So right now, boring would be nice.

I know what you mean! I’m sorry your two kids and a cousin are in crisis, I will say a prayer for them and you.
That’s terrible about the damage to your car. I sure can understand why you’d want a little dullness around right now.

Yep… I often think excitement is overrated. So sorry about the storm damage and car troubles… hope things will start looking up soon. ❤

Lucky Otter, I think you’re doing just fine. You can’t be super productive every day, your blog is jam packed with all kinds of interesting and informative posts, you’ve covered so many topics by now. During a dry spell, just go off the path a little like you do, there’s nothing wrong with that. Don’t feel pressured, take small breaks every now and then, maybe space out your meatier posts more to better keep the flow going? When you get good ideas, jot them down on a piece of paper and post less often? Intersperse them more? I’m very satisfied as a follower of this blog:)

I know! she is the one who MAKES even what seems mundane or what I never even thought of into something interesting and exciting! my Lucky Otter posts are my MOST OFT read and commented on blog to date. the titles draw me in.. and then I am NOT disappointed! its always better than I thought:) some seem quirky (intentionally!) in the title and I am like, ok what is this? always with a smile, and its always informative at the same time as entertaining. making me think with a new twist… my MISSED “twist” also you could say… refreshing.. sort of how I thought when I was younger meaning less jaded by the world! that’s what she brings and I love it!
it doesn’t even matter the topic,it will be GREAT!

Hey, Thumbup, I remember how interested you were in the Stephen King-ish aspects of my story. You may want to read this:

Sorry I haven’t been around on your blog much. I haven’t been on most blogs much, because I am finally, REALLY writing, as my latest post explains. But I have missed you and I still check out your blog from time to time. ❤ ❤

That, and we were gone to an out of state wedding for several days. Our car engine died dozens of times during the 1200+ mile round trip drive. The first time it happened at a high speed, I was driving, in the left lane with no shoulder, passing a line of 18 wheelers and going about 75 mph. Suddenly, the engine died! I thought we were going to die, too! We were driving through desert at the time, no civilization anywhere around, and it was very hot out. And we had our little dog with us.
After I coasted off the right side of the highway, my husband jiggled some cables under the hood and the car started again. From the on, we stayed in the right lane at a lower speed as much as possible. Still, it was scary. We didn’t have the money to get the car repaired until the first of the month, which came after we got back home. I feel like I am still recovering from that trip.
