A weird little comment I wrote that I don’t remember writing.

urban_lot_southbronx

Back on September 17, 2014, when this blog was only one week old, I made a comment on one of Opinionated Man’s posts (he found my blog and followed it early, God bless him). It’s weird and I don’t even remember writing it.

I hope my blog isn’t like the big unfenced field of weeds and broken glass no one wants to enter. I fear that. :/

WTF? But it’s a good analogy of what I didn’t want this blog to be, I suppose.

  1. Opininated Man is awesome, you are aswell. I found his blog shortly after the genesis of my first blog.

Your analogy is good, as i’ve been blogging more of late and seeing others enjoy my posts, I wonder where it will go? My old blog never had much traffic, this one however, is a week or so old and a following cometh.
Your writing has a lot of really crisp information and is engaging.

    I just write, to write.

    • OM is so great with new bloggers. He doesn’t act all high and mighty and have an attitude with newbies the way some old-timers on other websites do. He’s secure enough in himself he doesn’t mind helping people find out how to make their blogs do well. He found mine about a week after I started it, and reblogged a post of mine, and that gave me a lot more followers. From there, things just got a lot easier.
I’m glad you like my writing. Sometime I think I ramble on, but I’m glad you don’t think so.

Yes, the analogy was good. I think I remember what I meant now when I wrote it.

    • Are you from the Bronx? Or NYC? Iactually think this photo is from the movie, “Wolfen” which was supposed to take place in the South Bronx (but used a lot of sets to make the urban blight there look creepier than it already was). No part of NY looks like that anymore (as far as I know) but some ghetto areas did in the 1970s and 80s . I remember how bad NY was then because I lived there at that time.

I do think that photo has an eerie sort of beauty to it though.

  2. I’m the opposite. I feel uncomfortable when people follow my blog because I’m just throwing out stuff that enters my mind there and random things. It won’t be written well and it probably won’t make sense half the time. I guess it’s a reflection of my tired brain. I do like to read others blogs so I put a bit of myself out there but yeah would rather it stay low key.

I like how you put it “the big unfenced field of weeds and broken glass”

    • Sometimes I feel that way. I’ve written a few articles I’m a little embarrassed to have others read but not because they’re badly written, just because they’re too personal. Usually I don’t regret posting them though. There’s always someone who gets something out of it.
