I have a long post I’m putting up later, so this is an appetizer (it has absolutely nothing to do with what I’m posting about though).
My son had a job interview at the DMV today. Government job, good pay, great benefits. I hope he gets the job but I also hope if he does they don’t train him to act like a jerk.
Gas in my area is about $2.15 a gallon now. I’m not going to question why, because I’m loving this. It hasn’t been this low in about 7 years.
Is anyone seeing gas for less than $2 a gallon now?

It is so cheap over here too at the moment! Been a while that it has been under $1.2 /litre

I’m paying .78 cents per litre, there is 3,78 litres in 1 US gallon, so that works out to be $2.94 per gallon here in Saskatchewan Canada, which is cheap considering just 2 months ago I was paying 1.41 per litre …which is $5.35 per US Gallon, I am ever so grateful for the cheap gas now.

I am so grateful too. A year ago gas was something like $3.58 a gallon, sometimes higher, sometimes a little lower. I had to fill up twice a week and due to my sucky finances, I was usually running on empty by the end of the week.
Now I can fill up once a week, on payday, and still have some left to spare the next payday. It’s awesome.

I never thought I would see gas prices under 2.00 ever again.

You know what’s really sad? Since I sold my car and decided to take the bus or walk, since my location allows it, I’m not in touch AT ALL with gas prices. So when people seem really happy at the gas station’s convenience store or especially displeased, I often don’t know why. I kind of feel bad.
I hope your son gets the job at the DMV. Interviews and the waiting period are always stressful, but I’m hoping something good comes out of this.

I never used to pay attention to gas prices either until they started going up in around 2007 or so. Now it seems like everyone is obsessed with them.
