This morning while poking around on the web, I came across this trailer and promo for a new movie by Eric Casaccio–“Narcissist.” It looks pretty interesting. I would like to see this when it’s released.

Synopsis:
“Narcissist” is the story of a kind soul (Evan) who attracts a dark knight (Rob) into his life. It’s almost as it’s meant to be until Rob goes from a charming man to a manipulative individual who suddenly pulls the carpet out from under Evan, smashing his heart into a million pieces.

    • It does look really good. I like the idea it’s about a gay relationship rather than a straight one. I think we sometimes forget that LGBT people can be victims of narcissistic abuse too.

      • Yes we do, and its a shame, everybody is equal in my eyes. Narcissists exist in all walks of life unfortunately. I know this well. I am excited to see this.

        • I think because most blogs are written by women coming out of (or still involved) in relationships with narcs, we forget there are gay people suffering too.

          I wonder who’s the narc in the photo? I bet it’s the guy on the left–doesn’t his face look like a mask?

  3. From the trailer it appears to be the guy on the right. That ‘mask’ can also come from the bewilderment of being involved with a narcissistic abuser.

    This one’s on my must-see list, too.

    • That’s true too. The one on the right does have a sort of conniving look on his face I didn’t notice at first. The guy on the left does look bewildered and like he could be suffering PTSD or Stockholm Syndrome. So you’re probably right.

  5. I just watched the trailer (I just saw the page but not the trailer before) and yes, it definitely looks like the bigger guy who’s on the right in the photo is the narc. The other guy seems destroyed and afraid. You can also see how at first he’s being love bombed and the guy is moving in very fast. That’s a HUGE red flag with a narc.
