I liked the look of this tree covered with ivy so I took a picture of it with my phone. I was standing directly underneath of it looking up, which makes its trunk look much bigger than it really is.
My favorite part about having a Smartphone is being able to take pictures whenever I want and having them immediately. Instant gratification!
I love trees like this and other Acts of Nature.
I’m with you about a smartphone; I still have my Blackberry-type Nokia X2, which takes good-enough pictures, but I’m looking forward to finally getting that Lumia!

That picture is very good.
I love taking pictures with my smartphone, too. I hated giving up my old flip phone at first. But now it’s great. I’ve taken pictures of a supercell mesocyclone while standing right under it — you shared some of those pictures here on your blog last May, remember? I also took Goliath blizzard pictures with ten ft snow drifts, and pictures of a train that blew off the tracks during that storm. My kids send selfies and grandchildren pictures to my phone. In fact, a few hours ago my granddaughter got engaged and sent me a picture she took with her phone of her left hand wearing a diamond ring. Isn’t that awesome!?!

Congratulations to your granddaughter! That’s awesome!
Yes, I do remember the pictures you took of the mesocyclone standing under it, I posted them because I thought they were incredible, like photos you’d see on the weather channel or something.
