Rita sure does. She drives trucks along the Bolivian Road, believed to be the “world’s most dangerous road.” Watch this documentary — you will be on the edge of your seat. I could never do what she does!

Lucky, I enjoyed this immensely. I would say that this Rita has an ability, wouldn’t you? How many would be capable of negotiating such treachery? Imagine the amount of visual-spacial skills plus guts! And, she is a woman. I’m certain she is respected by many. Her road can be compared a little to the road of daughters of narcissistic mothers wouldn’t you say? Long and winding and full of treachery and requiring much bravery! Rita handles it well. May she be an example for us.

Ruby (I hope it’s okay to call you that)–that’s a great analogy! Maybe that’s why I was so fascinated (and horrified!) By this video, because it subconsciously reminded me of what growing up with my mother was like. You definitely have to respect Rita, and I’m sure the men respect her too. They seem to in the video. š

You can call me Ruby, that’s fine:) You know us ACoN’s are often wise to use aliases. I respect Rita greatly! I’m going to think of her while on my own road.

I wonder if she’s still doing this. I don’t know how long ago this video was made. I sure hope she wasn’t a casualty.

I know what you mean. I will bet God is with her(guiding her). Interesting though about her having high BP and having to work in hot climates. She dealt with it.
She did mention ‘evil’ early on in the vid.

I noticed that too. If there is evil, I bet it stays away from her because she cannot be intimidated. There probably isn’t though, just evil in the sense of danger and possible disaster.

Also, the video reminded me of a trip to Jamaica I took back in the 80’s the rural, mountainous, countryside with various hut-like dwellings and natives. It had a similar look to it.

Where I live, in the mountains of North Carolina, there are places (and quite a few roads) that look a lot like this one too.

Interesting. I didn’t know it could be like that so nearby. I’m still having trouble ‘liking’ things on your blog. The ‘like’ feature doesn’t seem to work for me but I can use it on another blog.

Hmmm…that is strange. I’ll have to find out if anyone else is having problems, but if they are, I’m not sure how to fix it!

No way. Not me. I’m OK right where I am thanks. Will definitely give that a miss!

The road is terrifying, adding in the rain, fog and ice means this woman has nerves of steel.
