There are so many great blogs I want to read and keep up with more than I do, but I spend so much time working on my own blog, and it’s so hard to find enough time. Bloggers who are far more popular than this one still manage to find time to read and Like their followers’ posts and even comment on them. I probably have one tenth the activity they do, but it’s a real challenge keeping up. I’m in awe of them. How do they do it?
I make it a priority to read other blogs and comment. The way I look at it is, I cannot expect engagement on my blog if I am not willing to engage on their blog. That being said, I do not follow everyone that follows me. I am very selective in what I choose, there has to be something engaging with how they write or the stories they tell.

I agree. I follow pretty much everyone who follows me, but no way could I read every one of those blogs, and probably a lot of my followers don’t even read this one too much. There’s no way to know really. I have to work more at the social aspect and engaging more with other bloggers’ blogs. Including yours, which happens to be one of the ones I read.

It does get hard sometimes. I just do the best I can and hope it’s enough.

I guess that’s all you can do!

Yes. My depression sometimes makes it more difficult to have all the energy I would like. But I am able to work full-time and have a good life, so I can’t complain lol. How are u doing?

Okay, except sick (physically) as a dog this weekend. It’s Palm Sunday and I was supposed to sing in choir but I wasn’t able to make it. R&R and plenty of fluids today, since I can’t miss work tomorrow.

I don’t know how they do it, either, Lucky, especially a blogger like Opinionated Man. Of all the blogs I follow, your blog is the only one I read every day, several times a day. Because your writing is fascinating like that.

I have no idea. I just started writing a lot and transferring stuff from the other blog I used to write on. And already I’m feeling like it’s taking up most of my time. I mean, I have to eat too. lol

I do follow for follow, before getting an idea, if its something that I am not interested in, I tend to unfollow after a while

I do follow for follow too, and never actually unfollow anyone, I just stop reading certain blogs–and not always because I don’t like them, but just because I follow so many and there’s simply not enough time to read them all. There are certain ones though, that I always check and try to keep up with.

I think it depends on how you read them, I don’t bother with the reader, I get all mine via email

I use both but prefer email. My email sure does get overloaded though.

I spend more time cleaning it up than reading what’s in it.

The title and the first few sentances have to grab me otherwise I won’t read it. If you try and read everything everyone writes I personally would go mad (madder than I am now ;))

I make it a priority to write my posts first and then spend time reading, commenting, reblogging or tweeting people’s post. Especially if it moved me. I can’t expect the same engagement if I don’t give it. I may not always comment, but I am famous for sharing moving posts.

I do try to share and Like posts that resonate with me, even if I don’t comment. I don’t fret about it too much actually.

I also struggle with this – I do the best that I can and just accept that there is nothing more that I can do.
