My dad is gone.

I just found out he passed away a few minutes ago. He wasn’t in any pain at all.
RIP Dad.  Love you.

  1. I’m sorry to hear about your loss. My father passed in his sleep – not sure that helped a lot, but I think it did some. My thoughts are with you.

  2. You mentioned he fought against Parkinson’s disease and worked hard to maintain as much health as he could. Therefore, if he was going to pass, doing so peacefully without months or years of being bedridden is a gracious way to depart. I’m sorry for your loss, sometimes the orphan in our heart reacts with an increased sense of isolation when the parent that wasn’t as narcissistic as the other or less abusive leaves. Take gentle care of your self in this time.

  3. Thanks to everyone for you condolences. I’m not that emotional because we hadn’t been that close in years, but of course I do feel sad and wish I’d got to see him one last time. I’m remembering the good times I had with him and there were some very good times.

  5. I saw your post on FB and had to come here to send my condolences. No matter how strained our relationships are with our parent(s), when they pass on it’s still a difficult loss, especially when it’s sudden or happens unexpectedly. (((((Hugs)))))
